Crafting in the Carolina's: A Creative Retreat
It all begins with an idea!
Susan and I met in 2019 online through the world of wreath making and crafting. We finally got the chance to meet in person the following year at a retreat much like the one we’re offering you!
We quickly became best friends and formed a special friendship through wreath making! We’ve discovered through our love of crafting and our friendship that not only do we have a lot in common, but we also compliment each others strengths and weaknesses, We encourage each other to press our boundaries and skills and challenge each other to try new things and think outside the box! We love to have fun and bring out the silly in each other! We also enjoy sharing our knowledge with others and have a love for teaching.
We started attending Hardworking Mom’s Retreats, then became helpers at her events! Susan even became a designer at several of her retreats!
When Lori decided to take a break from doing the retreats she planted the seed for us to take the reins. We loved the idea and jumped at the chance to try hosting our own in-person event! Crafting in the Carolina’s was born!
At Crafting in the Carolina's, we believe that crafting is a way of life. Our retreat is dedicated to bringing together crafters from all around the world to enjoy a weekend of wreath making, relaxation, community and fun.

Susan Skelton
AC Inspired Wreaths
I am Susan Skelton with AC Inspired Wreaths. I began wreath making after the death of my son in 2018 as a form of therapy to help me through my grief. My motto is "Laugh and Live with a half full cup, when it's all black clouds find the sun" My business is named in his honor.
Over the years I have developed my wreath making skills by challenging myself to think outside the box. Some of the best designs I have created have been the ones where I have no plan, I just create! I love trying new things to test my creativity and teaching others to do the same and have fun doing it.
I have been a Design Coach for Lori Jacobs of Crafting with Hardworking Mom in her private Design Group for over 2 years and have loved inspiring and watching other designers try what I teach them.
I want to do the same for you with our retreat and I hope you’ll join us!

Wreath Decor by Dawn
I am Dawn Sanches with Wreath Decor by Dawn. I have been a crafter most of my life. It started with sewing in high school and over the years I have tried nearly every craft that has come along.
After creating grapevine wreaths for years, one day, while scrolling online, I stumbled on a video of someone making mesh wreaths and the bug bit me! I started my wreath and home decor business in 2017 and have grown and developed my skills through watching other wreath makers, joining online groups and attending retreats and floral shows.
I enjoy creating online tutorials on both Facebook and YouTube and I love teaching and inspiring others to create!
Having been asked on serval occasions if I do classes, having a retreat seemed like the perfect opportunity to share my skills with others and I hope you’ll come join us!
